The Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2025 has been officially announced by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). This year, a total of 4,543 vacancies are available for Sub-Inspector posts in Civil Police, Armed Police (PAC), Women Battalion, and Special Security Force.

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognised university.

  • Candidates who only have their graduation mark sheet can also apply (even if they do not have the degree certificate at the time of form filling).

  • Final year students are not eligible, only those who have already completed graduation can apply.

  • Candidate must be:

    1. A citizen of India, OR

    2. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, OR

    3. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, or other East African countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Medical Standards

  • Candidate must be medically fit as per UP Police norms.
  • Vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 (without glasses).
  • Candidate must be free from physical deformities, hearing problems, or other medical issues that may affect job performance.

📌 Latest Update: If candidates don’t have the degree certificate yet, the graduation mark sheet is also accepted.

Caste / Reservation Certificate
  • For SC / ST / OBC / EWS candidates

  • Must be issued by the competent authority in Uttar Pradesh

  • Should be in the prescribed format of UP Government

⚠️ For female candidates, the caste certificate must be in the father’s name. Certificates issued in husband’s name are not valid.

Domicile Certificate (UP Residents)
  • Proof of being a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

  • Issued by Tehsildar / SDM office.

Character Certificate
  • Issued by a Gazetted Officer / Head of Institution.

  • To prove good moral character.

No Objection Certificate (NOC)
  • For candidates already employed in Government / PSU jobs.

  • To show that the department has no objection to the candidate applying.

Affidavit (if required)For candidates providing self-declaration in case of name mismatch in certificates (example: spelling variations).
Other Certificates (if applicable)
  • Ex-Servicemen Certificate (issued by Defence authorities).

  • Sports Quota Certificate (if applying under sports quota).

  • PWD Certificate (if claiming disability benefits).

How To Fill Online Form

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

  • Go to the official UP Police Recruitment Board website: uppbpb.gov.in
  • On the homepage, find the link “UP Police SI Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online” and click on it.

Step 2: Registration

  • Click on “New Registration”.
  • Enter your basic details:

    • Full Name (as per 10th certificate)
    • Father’s Name & Mother’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Mobile Number (valid & active)
    • Email ID
    • Aadhaar Number (if required)Create a strong password for login.
  • Registration ID and Password will be generated.

Step 3: Login & Fill Application Form

  • Login using your Registration ID and Password.
  • Fill in required details:

    • Personal Information (Gender, Category, Nationality, Marital Status, Address)
    • Educational Qualification (10th, 12th, Graduation details)
    • Employment details (if any)
  • Choose exam centres (usually 3 preferences within UP).

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of:

  • Recent passport-size photo (as per guidelines)
  • Signature in running handwriting
  • Category / Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

📌 Note: Check file size and format (generally JPEG/PNG).

Step 5: Pay Application Fee

  • Pay the application fee online using:
    • Debit Card / Credit Card
    • Net Banking
    • UPI
  • Keep the transaction receipt safe for future reference.

Step 6: Review Application

  • Carefully review all details (name, DOB, education, category, photo, signature).
  • Once submitted, changes may not be allowed.

Step 7: Final Submission

  • Click on “Submit” button.
  • Take a printout of the Application Form for future use.
  • Save the PDF copy in your device or email.

Mode of selection

  • The selection for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025 will be done in the following stages:
  • Written Exam (Objective Test)

    Total Marks: 400
    • Total Questions: 200
    • Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
    • Subjects:

      • General Hindi & Computer Knowledge (50 Qs – 100 Marks)
      • General Knowledge (50 Qs – 100 Marks)
      • Numerical & Mental Ability (50 Qs – 100 Marks)
      • Reasoning & Mental Aptitude (50 Qs – 100 Marks)
    • Marking Scheme: +2 marks for each correct answer, no negative marking.
    • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 35% in each subject and 40% overall.

    • Running and other fitness activities.
