How To Fill Online Form
- Visit UPPSC official website —
uppsc.up.nic.in - In “Notifications / Recruitment” section, find “Lecturer (GIC)” advertisement — e.g. Advt. A-5/E-1/2025 or similar.
- Download Notification PDF and read all instructions carefully (eligibility, fees, exam, etc.).
- Click Apply Online / Registration link. First do a One Time Registration (OTR) or similar profile setup if required.
- Login with your registration / credentials.
- In application form, fill personal details, educational qualifications, subject choice, contact information, category etc.
- Upload the scanned documents (photo, signature, degree certificates, caste / domicile / identity proof).
- Pay application / registration fee (if applicable).
- review the filled form — check for errors.
- Submit the form. After submission download / print the confirmation / acknowledgment for your record.
- If a correction window is available (up to 19 September 2025), use that to correct mistakes.
Once submitted, changes may not be allowed, so double-check every entry before final submission.
Mode of selection
The selection process for UPPSC GIC Lecturer 2025 is broadly through two stages: Preliminary Exam and Main Exam (written), followed by Interview / Document Verification / Merit.
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

Prelims is a screening test (objective / multiple choice) to shortlist candidates.
It covers General Studies / General Awareness and Optional / Subject-specific portion.
The Prelims is 300 marks, contains 120 questions, and duration is 2 hours (expected)
Among these, General Studies may have 40 questions (totaling 100 marks), and Optional subject (subject of the candidate) 80 questions (200 marks) — total 120 questions, 300 marks.
There is negative marking of 1/3rd mark for wrong answers.
- Candidates who qualify Prelims will be eligible for Mains Exam.
- Mains consists of Paper I (General Hindi & Essay) and Paper II (Optional Subject / academic subject) in descriptive / written form.
- Paper I (Hindi & Essay): 100 marks, duration ~2 hours
- Paper II (Optional / Subject): 300 marks, duration ~3 hours
The combined mains marks contribute to final merit.

After mains, candidates are called for Interview / Document Verification (as specified) and final selection is based on aggregate marks and eligibility.
Final merit list is made subject-wise / category-wise as per rules.
