The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna has officially released the notification for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. This is a golden opportunity for candidates who want to become teachers in government schools of Bihar for Classes 9th to 12th.

Bihar STET 2025

Bihar STET has two levels of papers:

  • Paper I (Secondary Level): For teaching Classes 9th & 10th

  • Paper II (Senior Secondary Level): For teaching Classes 11th & 12th

✅ Educational Qualification

  • Paper I (Class 9–10):
    • Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with at least 50% marks.
    • Must have completed B.Ed from a recognized institute.

  • Paper II (Class 11–12):

    • Master’s degree in the related subject with at least 50% marks.
    • Must have completed B.Ed.

(Relaxation of 5% in minimum marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.)

How To Fill Online Form

  • Visit the official website – secondary.biharboardonline.com.
  • Click on the “Bihar STET 2025 Online Application” link.
  • Complete the registration using your email ID and mobile number.
  • Login with the registration details and start filling the form.
  • Enter personal, academic, and professional details.
  • Upload scanned photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee through online mode.
  • Review the application carefully and submit it.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page and payment receipt for reference.

Mode of selection

  • Online Application:
    • Candidates have to apply online through the official portal of BSEB.

  • Written Examination (CBT):

    • The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
    • Paper I is for Classes 9–10 teachers, Paper II is for Classes 11–12 teachers.
    • Each paper will be of 150 marks, with no negative marking.

  • Qualifying Marks / Cut-Off:

    • To be considered as qualified, candidates need to score at least:

  • General Category: 
    • 50% (75 Marks)
  • OBC / Female Candidates: 
    • 45% (67.5 Marks)
  • SC / ST / PwD: 
    • 40% (60 Marks)

  • Result & Eligibility Certificate:

    • Qualified candidates will receive a Bihar STET Eligibility Certificate.
    • This certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of issue.

  • Final Selection through TRE (Teacher Recruitment Exam):

    • Candidates who hold the STET certificate can apply for Bihar Government Teacher Recruitment Exams (TRE-4 and upcoming TREs).
    • Final selection depends on merit list, vacancies, and interview/document verification as per recruitment rules.
👉 In short: Qualify STET → Get Eligibility Certificate → Apply in TRE → Get Government Teaching Job.

The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
