How To Fill Online Form
Follow the steps carefully to correct your UPSC CDS II 2025 application form:
Step 1: Visit Official Website
Go to the UPSC official website – https://www.upsc.gov.in or https://upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on “Online Application for Various Examinations”
From the homepage, click on the link “Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2025 – Correction / Modification”.
Step 3: Login to Your Account
Enter your Registration ID and Date of Birth / Password to log in.
Step 4: Choose Section to Edit
Select the section where you want to make corrections such as:
- Personal Details
- Educational Qualification
- Address / Communication Details
- Upload Photograph or Signature
Step 5: Make the Changes
Make only the necessary changes carefully. Double-check all entries before saving.
Step 6: Preview and Submit
Step 7: Print Confirmation

Mode of selection
The selection process has multiple stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination (100 marks total)
- English: 100 marks, 2 hours (comprehensive English language test)
- General Knowledge: 100 marks, 2 hours (current affairs, history, geography, science)
- Mathematics: 100 marks, 2 hours (elementary mathematics, up to 10th standard level)
Stage 2: Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview
- 5-day comprehensive assessment
- Officer's Role Assessment (ORA) - psychological tests
- Group discussions and exercises
- Personal interview
- Medical examination
- Shortlisting of successful candidates
Stage 3: Medical Examination
- Comprehensive medical checkup
- All organs checked - vision, hearing, heart, lungs, etc.
- Must meet prescribed medical standards
Stage 4: Final Selection & Announcement
- Merit list prepared based on written exam + SSB interview scores
- Final selection communicated to candidates
- Joining instructions issued for training academies
Salary & Career After Selection
Starting Salary (as Lieutenant/Flying Officer/Sub-Lieutenant):
- Base Pay: ₹56,100 per month
- Dearness Allowance (DA): Additional amount based on inflation
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Varies by city posting
- Total Monthly: ₹80,000-100,000+ (approximate)
